Mr. Toad's Tour

In case you don't know...I am obsessed with Groupon.  Seriously obsessed.  They have awesome deals to local restaurants, health and beauty, museums, pretty much anything you can think of.  And most of the time the deals are at least a 50% savings.  It's an awesome way to try out locals shops.  Anyway, before Christmas they had a deal for Mr. Toad's tour -a holiday lights version.  I thought this would be a fun holiday excursion and it definitely was!  They use pre-1930's vehicles, which seat about 8 people so it's much more fun and intimate than a larger tour bus.

We headed out to the city a little early and took a stroll around Fisherman's Wharf until the tour started.

Alcatraz in the background.  Love this city!

We had decided to take the sunset tour because we were hoping to be able to drive down to Chrissy Field and see the sunset behind the Golden Gate Bridge.  Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate, but we still had a great twilight portion of the tour.  The duder absolutely LOVED riding in the car!

Wow!

I love the way he watches his dad.

Once the sun went down we got to drive around Pacific Heights, the Marin and several other amazing neighborhoods to see the GORGEOUS Christmas lights.  It was so fun and really put us in the holiday spirit, but also it was really interesting to hear the background on so many of the neighborhoods.  Sometimes it's nice to do the "touristy" things in your own city.

Afterwards we headed over to Uncle Adam's apartment to hang out for a little while.  He and the duder had a little dance party.
