New favorite

So after a trip to the eye doctor I decided to do a quick trip to Trader Joe's to grab a few essentials. While there, I suddenly had a huge craving for cherries so decided to pick up a package. Back at work I started snacking on my delicious cherries only to discover that they make this kid go crazy! I haven't ever felt him move around so much in one sitting! It was too cool and needless to say I continued to eat the entire package :-)

Getting a kick out of it

Jason got to feel his little man kick today! We were just relaxing at the house today and little Smith started kicking like crazy so Jason laid his hand on my belly and bam there it was! It was very exciting. The look on Jason's face was unforgettable! Here's to many more!

Beautiful Wedding

Last night we had the privilege of attending Elizabeth and Seth's wedding at the historic Hayes Mansion in San Jose. The bride looked amazing! The ceremony was lovely and the reception was absolutely beautiful. It was one of the most elegant receptions we have ever been to and it was fantastic to be able to reconnect with all of my girls from the Academy of Art.

Jason's Birthday

So on Saturday we met some friends down in Milpitas at the Dave and Buster's for some food, drinks and video games to celebrate Jason's birthday. It was sort of Jason's last birthday to be a kid before he has a kid :-) We had a great time! Of course I didn't win any of the games, but I did get some Sweet Tarts as a prize and to a pregnant lady, that's pretty darn exciting! One of the highlights though had to be Adrienne playing the samurai game! I've included a picture, but I don't think it quite captures that vigor with which she was using that sword to chop up the bad guys! Let's just say she drew quite a crowd! All in all I think Jason quite enjoyed his birthday weekend :-)

21 Weeks

So we are officially more than halfway through the pregnancy! It's just crazy how quickly this goes by. I had my doctor's appointment today and he said that everything looks great (which is always nice to hear!). Our little guy is doing well and kicking up a storm and Mommy is loving it. Oh! He just kicked again when I wrote that! I guess he wanted to say hi too :-) Now we're just waiting for him to kick hard enough so Daddy can feel it too...

Babies need a lot of stuff

So we went to register yesterday at Babies R Us and although everyone had warned me, it was completely overwhelming! We had already set up a registry at a smaller store close to us, Kids-n-Cribs.com, which was nice and easy, but the Babies R Us is a whole different story! Just the bottles alone were incredible! I had no idea how many different bottles and nipples and accessories there were to choose from! All I can say is I was ready for a nap when we were done! :-)

Projects

The nursery is under way! On Friday (while I took myself shopping :) ) Jason got out the rollers, brushes and paint and got to work. In a few short hours he had completely painted the nursery!! It's so exciting to see the color up on the walls. It's a beautiful combination of baby blue and chocolate brown. We've ordered the chair rail, so it should all be ready by the end of the week. Not only that, but my wonderful husband also decide to install the ceiling fan! We went to Home Depot today and got the light kit and then there was light! :-) The next step will be putting together the crib!
